about

The first album from the duet Tanz/Tanz, made up of Lucas Delmenico and Alexandre Canana, composed entirely in the studio and apartment of Lucas, at Rue de Deux Ponts in the Junction area of Geneva is an homage to this locality of the city.

In the confusion of ambulance sirens and police cars, after parties at the local kebab stall "El Baraka" and their prolonged evenings juggled between
nightclubs and wild raves hidden across the town that the two partners met in the well-known underground demure of Jean-Luc, and began the journey towards creating this album.

Their position statement is simple: reclaim the coding once used by the hiphop crews (system D productions, viral street marketing, backdoor selling) and adapt it to their style, house music.

Their style, reconisable thanks to the help of an anagogic machine, their high sense of groove and the melodies, strengthened by their voices, which they have used as a vector to highlight this very particular ambiance found in the Jucntion.

Half ghetto, half deep house, the ten tracks paint a postcard of this part of town, destined as much to its inhabitants as all music amateurs.

They play live or DJ set.

Tanz / Tanz Genève, Switzerland

Put together a hyperactive « i think as much as I speak » and a laidback « i think way more than I speak » character, always balancing between these two aspects and you’ll get the Tanz/Tanz phenomenon.
